白瓷釋迦牟尼半跏趺坐像連佛龕

悉達多.喬達摩,古印度著名思想家,佛教創始人,被後世尊稱為釋迦牟尼佛,意即覺悟者。半跏跌坐為佛像造像形態之一,即單跌壹足,跏於另一足上之安坐法,本尊佛像右足加於左股上,此為吉祥半跏坐,同時手結無畏印和施願印,此尊釋迦牟尼佛頂髻微隆,眉間白毫,面目清爽,凝神垂目,五官秀美,神態安詳。身材比例協調,體態修長清瘦。衣紋深刻線條隆起,下擺褶皺重疊恍若瀑布飛流直下,造像整體靜美親切,充滿難以言說的安靜和力量。

The semi-lotus position is one of the sitting methods for Buddha statues with one leg crossed on the other. In this Buddha statue,the right feet is on the left thigh,which is called the auspicious semi-lotus position,and meanwhile the hands are in abhaya mudra and varada mudra,This statue of Buddha Shakyamuni has a thin but delicate face as well as a peaceful expression,with the eyesight downward and mind in meditating. His clothes have clear-cut lines and draped and folded lower hem: his slender body has a harmonious proportion,leaving an impression of elegance and refinement.

傳統的佛龕,一方面形式上和現代的空間設計難以相容,內部空間結構也略顯暗沈、神秘。另一方面閩南的佛龕多爲壁掛式,安裝後不便移動。

這款佛龕根據城市生活者的居住空間尺度來設計,安置於現代空間裏呈現很自然的狀態,佛龕內部空間光線的變化,也使得佛像更顯通透精妙。
